Die Alpen und ihre Gletscher üben eine Faszination aus, die Bergsportler, Wintertouristen wie Naturliebhaber gleichermaßen anzieht. Viele Menschen in diesen Regionen leben vom Tourismus, der durch artifizielle Einbauten in der Berglandschaft erst möglich wird. GLETSCHER ist ein Fotobuch, das die Ästhetik der von Gletschern geprägten Landschaft Tirols, ihre Brüche und künstlichen Eingriffe für den Tourismus aufzeigt und nach dem Umgang mit der Natur fragt.

The Alps and its glaciers have a fascination that attracts winter tourists and nature lovers alike. Many people in this region live from tourism, which is only made possible due to special constructions in the mountain landscape. At the same time the melting glaciers are a clear sign of climate change.
GLETSCHER (glacier) is a photo book that shows the esthetics of the glacier landscape of Tyrol, its breaches and artificial interventions for tourism and asks questions about how we treat nature.
